It's been such a long time since my last post!! I guess time with darling has become of utmost importance, and cos he's always around, it didn't seem very nice to be typing my blog instead of spending time with him.... =) Hmmmm i guess quite a lot has happened in this 20 days...so, i really don't know where to start! Basically, I've left Greenwood, albeit reluctantly.....tears were threatening to fall out of my eyes when i said my goodbyes to them....I guess it was the fact that I'd been there for 3 months consecutively in total, instead of theusual one month, and thus, i couldn't help but be more attached to them...after all, despite the politics between the different outlets, ultimately, to me, it felt like one big family.... But, knowing that I'll probably be going back there makes things a whole lot better....i guess i was just being reluctant to actually have to start anew once more..... Anyway, today's my off day at Cafe....and life there...well, it's unpredictable...and, they really want me to learn things, ensuring that i do most of the eggs whenever there's a breakfast order, so i've actually finally learnt to make a proper omelette!! I'm at the cold side for this week, which is inevitable, and my favourite place ever...haha...but there's a lot to do, coz not only are we in charge of the salads, which also have a place with the main courses, but we are also in charge of the sandwiches.....so...it gets kinda busy at times...but, well, the shift hours are great... 7-3, 9-5, 12-8 on weekdays, or 7-3, 10-6, 2-10 on weekends....so i have more time to spend with darling.... the only bad part of it is the fact that the kitchen is unbelivably small......it's probably only slightly bigger than my room!! And considering the number of covers they do...it's like, on a good sunday, they can use up to 12 litres of egg for scrambled and omelettes, and up to 6 trays for fried eggs and poached eggs!! It's almost unbelievable that a kitchen as small as this can do so much......and because it's so small, it's insanely hot as well......I've never perspired so much in my life before.....not when i'm working in the kitchen,.....and it's really crazy.... haha... darling has said it's a good chance to let me lose weight... =0 but ya, the heat really gets to one, especially since there's no place that one can escape to for cool air, since the dining area is all alfresco, and also the fact that there's no walk in chiller!! But, i guess i'll get used to it somehow...i hope!! Anyway, darling's at AMS now, and based in Paya Lebar.....so, being on an 8-5 job, allows me to see him daily...he usually goes home for dinner after work, then comes over at night, and returns home in the morning......initially, we had said that he'd only stay over on weekends...but...i guess we just couldn't live without seeing each other....... =) So yup, his birthday is over, and so is my dad's....time passes really quite fast....darling and me are still planning our wedding stuff, and we've bought abt 3 bridal magazines thus far for inspiration..... hmmm.....can't wait for him to propose, so that we can start the ball rolling, but, well, everything's still kinda up to him....... =) k lah, have to go cook lunch for my daddy now, as well as think of what to cook for dinner tonight..... =) will try to write again soon!!!!
